The day looked promising; sun shining, birds singing (and not swooping) and the sizzle of sausages enticing us all in through the gates. Then we all heard it – the first whistle, of the first train. Adults and children alike lined up to get one of many rides. And they did not disappoint. The trill of screams echoed through the tunnel and smiles adorned painted faces.
Thank you again to Mel for organising such a wonderful day. Thank you to all those who helped cook and prepare the sausage sizzle and a very big thanks to Fairy Love Heart who created gorgeous art that the children adored and showed off all day.
What a great day out at the Diamond Valley Railway . Already looking forward to next year.
